I worked at a restaurant before so I know how hard it is. If I get good service, I don't hesitate to leave a good tip.

Some restaurants charge a lot for the food already. I don't see why I have to leave a tip unless the service was excellent.

Tipping is a courtesy. If you received good service, might as well leave the server something for their efforts.

It should not be required though.

I leave tips but not much. It's not like I have money to burn.

I always leave a tip in a restaurant for the waiters and waitresses.

Yeah. I only give tips when I get good service.

I give tips for good service but I don't like it when it's dictated how much I should give. It should be optional that's why it's called a"tip".

Yeah. I don't even bother leaving a tip for restaurants with already service charge on the receipt.

If I like the service and food, I will definitely leave some tip.

I leave tips if I get good service. I don't see the need to leave any if the service sucks.

I agree! If they are going to put a minimum %, they should just include it in the bill and rename to service charge instead of a tip.

It's the least you can do to help the servers. They work hard to give you the best service.
