Bec Judd and the burn of internet mums

They turned on Bec Judd this week for throwing her kid a birthday party. The mum-of-four’s Instagram snap showed her usually-chic dining room littered with a bunch of pink crap and cupcakes. It looked like, you know, a five-year-old’s birthday party.

But the internet mums weren’t having a bar of it, with one branding it “utterly disgusting!”.

“What overindulgence for a five year old,” the comment read. “Would probably feed a hundred homeless people for a month. I’m out of here!”

Wow! We have birthdays like that for our kids and we are in a rental, working full time, living week to week.. If you work hard you should be able to celebrate your kids for a day without judgement.

Think the take away point here is, if you post intimate photos of your private life to a bunch of strangers looking for validation.....you will be sorely disappointed.

That photo looks like it could have come from any one of my daughters birthday parties!
I work full time, supporting the homeless mind you, and if I want to spend my money in parties for my child I will, as should Bec Judd.
For those complaining, you can probs do the same for under $100 at Kmart.

Jealousy is a curse!! She can afford it so rightfully she can throw whatever type of party she wants. Leave her alone!!!

There will always be someone with a better house better car better job and better party than you can have .( even the Judds ) ...as long as you appreciate what you have you can be happy.

Sorry but that party is pretty basic (in a great way!) not over the top in any way shape or form! Get a life people!

I actually saw this post awhile ago. I haven’t seen any parents bagging out on Bec. It appears journalists are making a mountain out of a mole hill!!!

This is nothing extravagant, so get off your high horse internet Mums. We have 3 daughters & each one had a party like that pretty much every year until a certain age.
Fairy bread, cupcakes & a birthday cake cost stuff all to make & the rest of the stuff would be around $50. If you’re creative you could decorate for even less. If you’re not creative cut back on your coffee shop latte & smashed avo bagel for a couple weeks & you’ll be able to afford to throw your little princess a birthday like this.

This is ridiculous, my niece had the same sort of party and it wasn’t all that expensive.
So how is it over the top ?
