But how do you get better at self discipline when you have things to do but you don't see the point in it? For example, a student in school may understand the importance but may also understand school is not entirely important in becoming"successful."

I like the resistance/ lifting analogy. Embrace the suck. If I feel like I don’t want to do it then I know If I do, I’ll be making progress.

I hate when I'm really disciplined and exercise a lot for a week and the entire time I tell myself. 'You know this isn't gonna last long' or 'I wonder when I'll go back to being lazy' I don't know how to accept a good change as part of me instead of a temporary improvement.
