Why is looking like everyone else something we aim for? Between makeup and Facetune, we're creating a homogenized expression of beauty.

They all look to each other to see what they’re doing. Nothing original. Try following artists and designers. Chefs. Craftsman. The ones that are really creating something. None of them look like this.

“Influencers”. More like let’s act like I’m better than everyone.

This is why I unfollow anyone starting to look like everyone else. Create original content and don't look like everyone else.

This is why I just don't follow influencers. I follow people I know common interests and beauty I like. Still doesn't stop the ads though.

At the beginning i liked Instagram because it was all about sharing pics. Now, I found myself looking at pics/videos of fit or yoga women 80% of the time showing their skin or/and with contouring make up even in the travel or nature Instagram accounts. All of them look like the same. 💁 It is all about money and get sponsorship I guess.

Humans have always tried to look like the latest look. We forget our past so often as the generations roll on.

This is so true! There’s a very clear “look” for “lifestyle bloggers” and “fitness models”. It makes me wonder if they do anything without full makeup and being totally styled, ever.

Because certain features are attractive, like having a pointy chin, a heart shaped face, a slender nose, ect, and if you weren’t born with those features, then women get plastic surgeries or use make up or photoshop to fake it. Many of the women use so much make up you don’t even know what they really look like underneath. The Asian girls don’t look Asian because of all that make up contouring.

With all these female wannabe influencers it‘s all about advertising. It‘s no more authentic, everything is fake, looks the same and is sponsored by some big brands. I disliked each of them.

A lot of them do resemble each other. A lot of people are so obsessed with looks. I once had someone tell me “you’d be pretty if you dyed your hair or wore makeup”... I never do either. My red curly hair is unique. It’s 100 natural. I don’t believe in wearing makeup either. We need to look beyond the exterior. We need to embrace our differences and learn to love them.

Because we are told if we don't look a certain way we are worthless.

I've noticed that make up is getting so extreme that it looks fake and robot-like.
