A recent article from Buzzfeed examined the phenomenon of burnout in the millennial generation, which includes people currently between the ages of 22 and 38. The author attributed burnout to millennials' upbringings, the economic environment they grew up in, and social media, and the anxiety that comes with doing easy, straightforward tasks, like running errands.

Do you agree that millennials are the burnout generation? How do you cope with burnout?

It’s funny that they blame upbringing for burnout on millennials and not the opportunities taken by baby boomers to maximise power and profit and persuasion like I need a whole other person to fund buying a house whereas someone 20 years my senior could have bought one by themselves at my age in the same position as me at work. It really grinds my gears that we’re blamed for not doing enough when there’s more of us, it’s more competitive to get anywhere and less opportunities.

It's called WORK HARD FOR A LIVING and not blowing $25 a day at Starbucks helps.

No, it doesn’t. Burnout happens when you have to keep pedalling harder and harder just to stand still.

Thank you for the"boomersplaining" but I think the person who wrote this article doesn't know what's actually happening and what's causing the"millennial" generation to burn out.

Millennials are considered this and that and blah blah blah generation...can we get over the millennial hype already? I wish all the places using that as a storyline or tag line would stop.

We’re spoon fed bullsh*t. I had a ‘proper job’ (banking sector), I was married...neither of which ultimately made me happy. I now have a job I love in the heritage sector & study physics in my free time via distance learning. Never been happier.

Someone said,"If you don't want to burn out, stop living like you're on fire." Does it make any sense?
