Would you consider preserving the tattoo of a loved one who has died? It's becoming an increasingly common request from people in their final weeks.

My mother had many tattoos in her youth which she hated when she was older. When she died of cancer I went to see her all her tattoos had mostly disappeared they were just a graying blur.

Tattoos are meant to expire when you do.
If the artists wanted their work preserved, they would use a canvas not your flesh.

I don’t know which is more ridiculous - getting tattoos, or tanning the hide of a dead loved one because of their tattoos.

This is pretty cool. I've thought about what it would take to open a tattoo museum like this. I'm not sure what I want done with mine as I want to be cremated but I'll probably leave that up to my family instead of me.

We had the design of my brother’s tattoo carved into his gravestone.

Why not visit a taxidermist and then you can have the whole person mounted like a statue in your living room?

Nothing new here... this has been done for hundreds of years in Asian cultures.

The world has been taken over by narcissists, I am happy with the memories of my Mum and Dad, I dont want their skin. I seem to remember another lot making lampshades and book covers from skin covered in tattoos

How do you know anyone would want then after you died? It's like wanting them to preserve your crap.
