SkyKids uses a small-sized “wearable cinema” called Bravo Theatre which lets kids watch a selection of curated 2D, 3D, and forward-facing 360-degree films without leaving their seats. Over-ear headphones are provided for audio, and a child-friendly video catalog from 20th Century Fox is available for kids to choose from. The Skykids VR headset service has been in fleetwide testing at French airline XL Airways since July 1 and after significant successes with customers, they will continue to be offered past its initial summer vacation scheduling.

Do you think this is a good way to keep kids entertained during long flights? Would you get your kids these to have them stay quiet in the plane? Why or why not?

That is so cool. I bet kids would stay seated at all times. Now the problem will probably be how to get them off the plane. Lol.

Thank goodness for this! I can have some peace and quiet on long flights. My kids drive me crazy whenever we travel and I've thought of leaving them at home. Hopefully this is the solution to letting them behave.

For me, it's too early for my kids to be using this VR gear. I know Google, Samsung, Sony all don't allow children under age 12 to use their VR gear. So I won't be risking it, at least for now.

I don't want my kids to get exposed to this kind of technology. This seems way too much even if these are for older kids and this might be expensive too.

This is amazing! I do wonder how much it would cost though. These gadgets don't come cheap.

Ditto to that. I always feel people staring at me for being a bad mother when we are on a plane. My kids just won't stop fighting with each other and I can't get them to stop.

My kids love movies! This would be great to keep them quiet. It's embarrassing to have them so noisy on the flight.

I used to bring coloring books so my kids will have something to do but this is a much better idea. A movie will keep them entertained better.

Fox I don't really care about that but I am interested in VR gear! It would be fun and the cabin will probably be a funny sight to see.

I do admit it does disturb other passengers. That's why I was just really glad to share this since I know many would appreciate this.

Lol. That is right. Imagine people doing all sorts of actions while wearing the VR gear. That in itself is a funny sight to watch.
